After the 3 weeks of travel for work, this weekend was spent pretty much doing nothing. I had grand designs to be productive in the backyard but it really didn't happen. I did take about 10 minutes to remove the dead weeds from the butterfly garden, but that was about all. My weekend actually spanned 4 days since I took Thursday and Friday off.
Thursday was Jeff's birthday and we took a leisurely trip to Ashland where he got his hair cut and we strolled around campus for a few hours. It was really nice. That evening included a brief visit with some of Jeff's former co-workers at a neighborhood bar and then dinner for the 2 of us at Stir Crazy at Legacy Village. We ended our evening at the Apple Store (aka "Church" in Jeff's world) where he finally upgraded to the new iPhone.
Friday consisted of grocery shopping and trip to Old Navy to pick up a few pairs of capri pants (on sale for $9.99) and a gift card for a graduation party that we're going to on Sunday.
Yesterday was the true lazy day - we never ventured out anywhere, we watched some tennis in the morning, took a nap, watched some Star Trek movies (3 & 4), and did some grillin' (rather tasty, I might add). With how busy things have been at work, I really needed to recharge my batteries. Today will be spent having virtual coffee with my aunt (as usual), watching the men's wimbledon tennis final, heading out to Sandusky for a graduation party, and an evening trip to CP.
