I own a suit. I bought it for my wedding. I also own a tux (which I've actually worn twice!). But for work I wear jeans, polo shirt, and sneakers. Shorts in the summer when I bike in. And no, I'm not employed by a slaughterhouse. I sit at a computer in an office.

I own a few suits. I make sure they're comfy, but I would never wear one to work nor would I have a job that required one.

And Personally, I like the way I look in a suit, so for one thing it makes me feel good to look nice.
