My boss reprimanded me today (not yelled exactly, she was friendly about it) because of my Net usage at work. She had like two reams of paper that listed the URL's I had been to in the last month. I replied that looked about right, given the amount of work I have (or don't have) to do.

So I ask myself why the hell I'm driving 1,600 miles a month to a job that I really don't like that much aside from the cash (lots of cash). I can't think of any good reasons really, the money aside. I've already decided I need to quit the job, but wanted to get at least into June before I did it. Now, I don't think I can.

I just wish I had the balls to do what I know I need to do.

What's stopping you from quitting? Loyalty? Not enough money to survive till you find something new? Pride? I'm in the middle of leaving one job for another...my last day is friday. It got to the point where my motivation and attention span were severly down due to my utter boredom at work. The job paid well, but I didn't do the work to earn my pay. I'm moving to a different work environment which will keep me creative and focused..sounds like you're probably in need of the same thing. Yeah...my iPod is keeping me sane, too.

Yeah... it's the money, or lack thereof if I quit. In reality, I could easily "starve" for three or four months, live off the pennies from my sites and a little credit. If nothing else, at least I could concentrate on the book I'm writing.

I need to accept that being poor for awhile is a lot less stressful than being bored in a soulless job.

Hey, that's why I say "Fuck it"!! I'd quit if I was you. You are Pizzie Supreme!!!!!! The things that are holding you back are all material. The only liability is yourself.

BTW, I drive 2000 miles a month. I just went over 181,000 miles on the Grand Am. 200 G, here I come.
