I bought an ice cream maker yesterday with some money my sister gave me for helping her with her house. After making a stop at the grocery store today, I decided to try it out. One of the recipes that came with the machine sounded really good: Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream.
- whole milk & heavy cream
- pumpkin filling
- ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg
- brown sugar and molasses
- graham cracker crumbs
After mixing all of the ingredients together, I poured them into the machine and let it do its magic for about 25 minutes. The liquid thickened up quite well in the machine. I transferred it into a Tupperware dish and put it in the freezer to harden completely. By the time we finished dinner tonight, we had a great dessert waiting. It is amazing how much it tastes just like pumpkin pie, right down to the crust.
Next on the docket is some coffee cream frozen yogurt and then some chocolate cherry frozen yogurt.
